The aim of Bornholm's Ceramics Factory is to support and revive the craft tradition and production in Bornholm, Denmark. All products are made locally, maintaining regional craft traditions with a long history in the beautiful Bornholm countryside. There are currently two techniques used in ceramic production: wheel turning and jiggerjollying. All products are made of high-fired stoneware.
The original cup or Ø cup (Ø means island) is the trademark of Bornholm's ceramic factory. It is available in a variety of glazes and decors and is born from the desire to use and reuse all leftover materials from production. The Ø-CUP is available in leading design and museum stores across Denmark and directly here at noord.
This product is rolled, cut and glazed by hand. Therefore the contours, glaze and color may vary from item to item. These features are a guarantee of absolute authenticity.
