Studio MAM was founded and directed by Marlyse Alexandra Mertz. The textile and surface designer is originally from the USA and lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since graduating from the University of Philadelphia with a degree in textile design, Marlyse has worked as a freelance textile designer for both the fashion and interior design industries. Her work is a mix of many different disciplines and techniques. She creates both simple and bold patterns with a mix of graphic and hand-drawn motifs, characterized by the use of playful and unexpected color combinations and patterning.
