The MAM studio was founded by Marlyse Alexandra Mertz and is managed by her. The textile and surface designer is originally from the USA and lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since graduating in Textile Design from the University of Philadelphia, Marlyse has worked as a freelance textile designer for both the fashion and interior design industries. Her work is a mixture of many different disciplines and techniques. She creates both simple and bold patterns with a mix of graphic and hand-drawn motifs, characterized by the use of playful and unexpected color combinations and patterns.
